Murray and Adrienne Real Wedding Story

yes, a picture is worth a thousand words...

Well, my wife is really the planner, I proposed on November 28th 2005 and we were married on 22nd of April 2006, now she 'says' she only started planning 2 weeks after the proposal... actually I believe her too :-)

I work with professional designers, so I was lucky to get a lot of help, with the design & printing, but we did the cutting, punching, sticking and calligraphy. We had some conversation starters which we rolled and tied hundreds of, and placed on the tables.

The bride ;-) seriously tho, our pastor married us, which was lovely, a lot of churches wouldn't let us use our own pastor so that was an important consideration when choosing a venue.

The speeches were all good... I know you expect at least one dud, but we were very happy... or perhaps it's just because they were saying lots of nice things about us ;-)

The bridesmaids wore blue/green, my wife tells me it's called 'petrol' :-) they were made by the bride's sister, who also made the wedding dress, she's a legend.

I wore a Dallas fom Executive Suit with ivory/gold tie & waistcoat. The attendants wore the same but with silver tie & waistcoat.

2 matching petrol (coloured) Toyota Echos, they were cute.

What?... I can't just say the 'whole day' ? ... ok um, Probably in cornwall park away from the crowds with the photographer.

An ant was crawling all around my wife's neck during the ceremony, i was amused. My wife says it was good because it distracted and amused her so she didn't get too overly emotional. the ant came out of the flowers.

We followed tradition in most regards, but departed wherever it didn't suit. For example; my bride didn't have a veil, and we had the cutting of the cake after the ceremony in a marquee so guests who couldn't attend the reception could have a good time too.

The bride's brother in law played the violin for the wedding march ( Silent Worship by G.F. Handel ) My cousin sang for the signing of the register ( I will always be right there - Brian Adams)

The best decision... The bride? obvious isn't it.

What I would do differently... not much really it was all pretty fabulous... I'd have the hymn played a little faster ;-)

Bliss... altho the very good pre-marital advice course our pastor provided was excellent, covering all sorts of things such as our parents modeling, conflict resolution & styles, love languages.
