Dave was building Christine's house - who knew they'd end up building their lives together?

Well . maybe Christine's dad - he kept trying to get them together.

It took a barbecue 'roof shout' to nail it. With the construction progress meetings over, Dave and Christine began work on their romance.

It was a natural progression - Dave already knew Christine's family. Her kids, Sam and Liam, had been his enthusiastic 'after-school apprentices' and were delighted that he was now a fixture.

Six months later, Dave proposed and the couple gave themselves just three months to organise their wedding - "I'd NEVER do that again", says Christine. "It just wasn't long enough!"

Having three months to organise a wedding can lead to some funny situations. Dave bought the engagement ring four months after their honeymoon - it had taken Christine that long to find the one she liked.

And . somehow Christine ended up with two wedding gowns. She couldn't find a gold dress anywhere so she settled for a traditional white style. It was all chosen, altered and paid for when she saw the dress of her dreams - she tried it on . perfect fit! "I had to have it!"

Dave and Christine chose a small family wedding at home.

The garden ceremony was followed by a sit-down dinner inside. Sam and Liam gave Christine away and added their signatures to the wedding certificate.

Christine's dad, a professional wedding photographer (KDL Photography), and his two assistants pulled out all the stops for their pictures in Albert Park.

"We really wanted a good record of the day to look back on," says Christine.

"So we told Dad to go to town - experiment, do anything he wanted. We were thrilled when we saw them - they are just what we wanted."
