Well it all began on the 24th Dec 2004 when I was working in Life Pharmacy St Lukes I spot a young man looking completely lost so naturally I figure I can help this man spend his money. So after some easy conversation and $350 worth of Lancôme for his precious mum he left the store and I made commission end of story - not ..... 40min later I get a phone call - yes, the guy that I had served phoned the pharmacy to ask me out....after some persuasion from the girls I agree................so a first date goes well.... second date.........I was living with John within 3 weeks. Six months later we buy a house together.

John then one Friday picks me up from work to take me on a surprise weekend away.......yes ladies, this is the one and only time I thought "this is it he is going to pop the question" - well, he didn't.

He did however manage to persuade me to go to the museum to see some medals awarded to Charles Upham so three weeks later he is up at the crack of dawn offering to make breakfast in bed. I asked for poached and got fried - you could say I made a slight issue as I had been craving poached.....we get to the museum and as I had not been there in a long time I sifted around actually quite surprised at how much I was enjoying myself. John then leads up to a mezzanine where I notice a security guard. I continue to admire the artifacts in the viewing cases when I notice a ring. I then begin to read the prologue and noticed my name I then continue to read on it read ......"This is the ring that John gave to Nisha when he asked her to marry him"....so as any girl can imagine the water works begin I was in complete shock (see the photo below - the very moment).

The Wedding

We got married on the 17th of March 2007 at Grace Hill Vineyard and my Grandad married us he played the minister and Grandad roll perfectly. We went with a mayfly theme, my mother in law, Viv, made my dress. It was such a great time as only my mum Linda and Viv had any clue as to how my dress looked we had a fantastic time together.

My bridesmaids were amazing - treating me to a night of complete pampering the night before and keeping me cool, calm and collected on the day (Viv also made their dresses).

I had my jewellery hand made and embossed with the same image as the wax seal in our invitations.

All the flowers were done by a friend's dad and they looked amazing.

One of the highlights would have to be the speeches. It was obvious that two great families are now one and that we have the most amazing bunch of friends and family.

The day seemed to come and go far to quickly. I have to say I really am very lucky to have married my soul mate......(he looked sooooooooooo handsome).
